Double-sided paddle
A leather paddle for two games: soft on one side and hard on the other. Made our way with a single piece of rigid and thick cowhide that is sewn by quadruple stitching (linear and lateral zigzag), of course by hand and with a one-millimeter thread, to a semi-rigid cowhide cover that forms the handle. It incorporates a carbon fiber rod inside that gives it longitudinal rigidity and allows a certain degree of flexibility on the sides, which makes it very comfortable to handle.
In this case, one of the sides is covered with soft but resistant pig skin and incorporates inside a sheet of foamed polyethylene sewn linearly, forming alveoli and with the entire edge also reinforced by quadruple stitching.
The way this paddle is manufactured avoids the unpleasant effect of paddles with a separate piece of handle, both due to the loss of rigidity and the possibility of it disassembling during use. This allows it to become a battle instrument for long use and is especially suitable for getting started in these tasks due to the apparent security that the “soft” side gives.
The measurements can be defined, here we show one of our personal equipment of 20 cm that, to begin with, we consider very appropriate. The change in dimensions, in this case, requires the redesign of the side stitches and could delay the execution time.
